Webmasters must be very cautious when they buy backlinks. When webmasters buy back links from sites which are not of reputable nature, then, their ranking will get a serious blow from the search engines. There is a Google patent that is in development that ranks websites not only based on the quality of back links but also based upon the trustworthy nature of the external website. This will mean that you could get into trouble with the search engine just for linking to a bad apple. It is well established and proven fact that a quality chain of back links can only be created over a long period of time. Webmasters must always be choosier when they buy back links. Even if it costs more, buying back links from trusted sources is worth the cost. By choosing only relevant sites to link with, sites that don’t have tons of outbound links on a page, sites that don’t practice black-hat SEO techniques; we will have a better chance that our reciprocal links won’t be discounted.
